The Story Behind Alo Bloom
I'm Kalayna Walker
I want you to know that alopecia should never stop you from enjoying life or seeing your own beauty. I was diagnosed with alopecia at just three years old. For a long time, I hid behind hats, wigs, and the fear of being judged.
As I grew older, I realized that true confidence doesn’t come from what others see, but it comes from knowing who you are and believing in your worth. That realization led me to create Alo Bloom, a space where children, teens, and adults with alopecia can find support, build confidence, and connect with others who share their experiences.
I’m here because I’ve been exactly where you are right now.
I know what it feels like to look in the mirror and question your worth, to carry the weight of thoughts that no one else seems to understand. But I also know this one day, everything you’re going through now will be a story you’ll tell with strength and maybe even a smile. You’ll look back and realize how much pressure you once put on yourself to be “enough.
The truth is, your beauty has always been there. It’s not something you need to create; it’s something waiting to be rediscovered.

My Approach
My approach is simple: I start with understanding. I listen, I see you, and I support you through every step of your journey. I don’t believe in quick fixes or pretending that everything is easy. Healing confidence takes time, and that’s okay.
Through honest conversations, encouragement, and real connection, I help you see the beauty that’s already within you. This isn’t about changing who you are; it’s about uncovering the strength that’s been there all along.

You don’t have to hide to be accepted. The moment you stop running from your reflection, you begin to bloom.
